In 1965, Diane Cordial, a registered nurse and mother from Powell, OH began entering the Ohio State Fair with her renowned baking recipes and winning blue ribbons, often sweeping every pie category and other specialties. In 1991, her Sour Cherry Pie won the Crisco American Pie Celebration in New Orleans, beating out 49 other entrants.
In 2005, her loving daughters and husband turned her perfected creations into a family-run enterprise, Simply Sweetz. BrandPlay was honored to work with the Cordial family to articulate a brand strategy, name, and identity, along with design implementation for the company in conjunction with Teresa Forrester.
